On a smashing late October day six NYLBC bowlers and a modest entourage journeyed to Bloomfield New Jersey for an afternoon of bowling at the Essex Lawn Bowling Club.  Situated in Bloomfield's lovely Watsessing Park and featuring one of the Northeast's finest (artificial) greens the bowlers held two games - a doubles match and cutthroat contest.  Barry Kessler won the closely contested cutthroat game and the team of Les Winter (lead) and Alex Last (skip) did likewise in the doubles. With shadows falling long, the homeward journey was filled with talk of "When should we do this next?"
